Riggins, ID – The rockin’ most time of the year in Riggins, happens at the end of July, starting the fourth Friday. Gates open both days on Friday and Saturday in the Riggins City Park.
This is one of the best small town summer events in America. The infamous Canyon Camillions have impersonated the likes of ZZ Top, Elton John, KISS and ABBA in the past and have already started on 2017. It’s the best kept secret of the year always resulting in a raucous time that gets better every year. A fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce, everyone gets in the act and Riggins may be a small town, but there is big heart here.
Come Friday for the local talent show mentioned above and Saturday boasts the classic and modified car show.
On Saturday, the event kicks off with a parade of cars (see our Car Gallery from last year). And don’t forget to bring some cash to drop at the cook shack. They make fantastic fajitas! Live music begins when the gates open at 4 pm on Fri. and Noon on Sat. Back by popular demand, J.R. & the Stingrays start rockin’ at 9 pm for some good ole rock’n roll and some serious grass dancing fun!
