Join the Latah County Historical Society on Tuesday, October 29th at the historic McConnell Mansion for the final Parlor Talk in conjunction with the “Those Wacky Victorians: Early 1800s Hobbies” exhibit where we will explore spiritualism. Curious why the Victorians were obsessed with the macabre? Learn all about art made of human hair, séances, crystal gazing, and the spookier side of late 1800s hobbies. Guests are encouraged, but not required, to come dressed in their best Victorian era garb. Please note: no actual séances will be conducted. Doors open at 5:30pm with the program beginning at 6pm. This event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be provided.
November 1st will be the last day to view “Those Wacky Victorians,” be sure to stop by the McConnell Mansion at 110 South Adams St in Moscow before it’s too late. It is open for regular tour hours Tuesday through Friday, 1 to 4pm, and some Saturdays.
