The Latah County Historical Society invites you to join us for Suds with a Scholar on Thursday, April 25th in the Lecompte Auditorium at the 1912 Center. Local historian Priscilla Wegars will speak about a little-known aspect of Moscow’s history: its red-light district. Wegars is a historical archaeologist, artifact analyst, and founder of the University of Idaho’s Asian American Comparative Collection, as well as the author and editor of numerous books on the history of Asian Americans in the West.

Doors open at 6pm with the program starting at 6:30pm. Tickets are available at the door: $8 for LCHS members and $10 for not-yet-members.  Beer and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase courtesy of the Moscow Alehouse (please note, in a change from previous years, beverages are not included in the admission price). Attendees are encouraged to bring cash or check, but cards can be accepted. The 1912 Center is located at 412 East 3rd St in Moscow.

Proceeds from Suds with a Scholar support the preservation of the historic McConnell Mansion and the ongoing work of the Latah County Historical Society.
