Take the Elk River Backcountry Byway from Orofino to Elk River via the scenic Dworshak Reservoir. Near Elk River you’ll find Idaho’s tallest waterfall at Elk Creek Falls and largest tree, a giant Red Cedar clocking in at 18-feet in diameter and 177 feet tall.
