McConnell Mansion

The McConnell Mansion was built in 1886 by William J. McConnell, a successful businessman, tireless civic booster, and astute politician who served as Idaho’s first US Senator and third Governor. Located in Moscow’s historic Fort Russell neighborhood, the McConnell Mansion is an architectural and historic landmark. The rooms of the house are interpreted to show the lifestyles of the four private owners. The gift shop on the main floor features works by regional authors and artists. During warm weather, visitors are invited to relax on the spacious front porch or in the backyard garden. Open Tuesday-Friday, 1-4pm, some Saturdays.
