A unit of the National Park Service, Nez Perce National Historical Park is comprised of 38 sites in four states, of which 24 are in North Central Idaho.
The Visitor Center, located near Spalding, Idaho, offers visitors a comprehensive introduction to the rich history, culture, and legacy of the Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) people. Inside, you’ll find engaging exhibits that tell the story of the Nez Perce, from their deep connection to the land to the dramatic events of the 1877 Nez Perce War.
