This was the first Roman Catholic mission among the Nez Perce. It was dedicated in Sept. 1874 by Father Joseph Cataldo, who had built it. It’s privately owned now.
From the Nez Perce National Historical Park Visitor Center in Spalding, ID, head east on US-95 S for 9.7 miles. Turn right onto Mission Creek Road and continue for 4.0 miles. St. Joseph’s Mission will be on the left.
